The company's first ROG gaming smartphone is touted to be the world's first smartphone with a 3D vapour-chamber cooling system, and its battery life is expected to last for up to 7 hours of Wi-Fi gameplay. At the time of launch, Asus did not share price or availability details of the ROG Phone, but did say that it will make its way to India soon. Now, after almost five months, the company has announced the arrival of the Asus ROG gaming phone in India.
The Taiwanese company is all set to launch the Asus ROG Phone in India on November 29. Asus will presumably reveal all pricing and availability details on the same day. The big highlights of the ROG Phone are the ultrasonic AirTrigger touch sensors, a gamer-centric design with side-mounted ports optimised for landscape-mode, an AMOLED display with HDR visuals, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms response time. It also features a custom Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC clocked at up to 2.96GHz, along with a gaming-optimised Qualcomm Adreno 630 GPU.
The smartphone's direct competitors are Xiaomi's Black Shark gaming smartphone as well as the Razer Phone -and both these devices have not been made available in India yet. It will be interesting to see how the Indian market responds to this new gaming smartphone offering.
As mentioned, the Asus ROG Phone sports the GameCool vapour-chamber cooling system, with detachable AeroActive Cooler for extra cooling. The ROG Phone includes side-mounted ports and two programmable ultrasonic AirTriggers and advanced force-feedback haptics. It comes with the optional TwinView Dock for dual-screen handheld mode. It has a Mobile Desktop Dock for desktop-style gaming and a Gamevice controller with WiGig Dock using 60GHz Wi-Fi for big-screen gaming. Other ROG Phone features include Asus Aura RGB lighting and Aura Sync support and ASUS HyperCharge direct-charge technology.

Asus ROG Phone specifications

The Asus ROG Phone runs ROG Gaming UI and sports a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. The company is also boasting of a 108.6 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut and 10000:1 contrast ratio. As mentioned, it features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, with gaming-optimised Adreno 630 GPU. It is equipped with 8GB of RAM. In terms of optics, the smartphone comes with a dual rear camera with 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

Samsung Galaxy A8s Alleged Renders Show Infinity-O Display With Selfie Camera Cutout

Samsung is expected to launch its Galaxy A8s smartphone in the next few days, which will most likely be its first one to sport the Infinity-O Display design bringing a small circular cutout for the selfie camera. The design of the upcoming Galaxy A8s has now been leaked in certain renders showing the presence of a triple rear camera setup and a rear-mounted physical fingerprint sensor. Additionally, some shots of the new Infinity-O Display panels have surfaced online that give us a real-world look at the cutout of the selfie camera on the panel.
Teased at the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A6s and Galaxy A9s, the Galaxy A8s will be launched by the South Korean giant shortly. The hole on the front is expected to house the selfie camera as well as crucial sensors like the proximity sensor and ambient light sensor. According to a report by German blog AllAboutSamsung, the upcoming Galaxy A8s will sport an almost-bezel-free panel with a slight chin at the bottom, not larger than the one on the Galaxy S9₹ 45,990 or the Galaxy Note 9.
The hole for the selfie camera on the Samsung Galaxy A8s will be placed on the upper left corner of the display. However, the report mentions that the front camera is not placed under the display and will be visible. The leaked renders show a triple camera setup at the back, much like the Galaxy A7 (2018), with no information the sensors being used. The fingerprint sensor on the back of the smartphone, as shown in the renders, appears to be small and elliptical-shaped. That said, these renders are not officially from Samsung and their genuineness needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Separately, a couple of shots of the alleged Samsung Infinity-O Design screen panel have surfacedonline, via SlashLeaks. While most of the elements are pixelated, the cutout for the selfie camera can be clearly seen placed on the upper left corner.

iPad Pro (2018) specifications and features

Called the biggest change since the original iPad, the all-new iPad Pro sports 11-inch and 12.9-inch LCD ProMotion Liquid Retina Display panels with rounded corners using the pixel masking technology used in the iPhone XR. The smaller variant fits in the same footprint as the iPad Pro 10.5-inch model from last year. The new 12.9-inch model is smaller than last year's variant. They carry forward the same 120Hz refresh rates. Both models are about 5.9mm thick.
The all-new iPad Pro models are powered by the company's latest in-house Apple A12X Bionic 7nm SoC. The SoC has an 8-core CPU and a 7-core GPU, the latter offers 2x the graphics performance compared to last year's Apple A11X. The new SoC has more than 10 billion transistors. For the first time on an iPad, the iPad Pro 2018 models get a neural engine in the A12X Bionic chip. The iPad Pro now comes with up to 1TB of inbuilt storage.
Face ID is new to the iPad Pro series in 2018. Face ID is enabled by the TrueDepth camera, housed on the tablet's top bezel. Face ID brings support for Animoji and Memoji, and it works in both portrait and landscape mode, unlike the iPhone models. The iPad Pro 2018 models come with support for iPhone X-like gesture navigation, due to the departure of the home button. This is also the first iOS device to sport a USB Type-C port for charging, data transfer, and external connectivity.
The new iPad Pro models no longer ship with the 3.5mm headphone jack. No Type-C to 3.5mm audio dongle is bundled in the box either. Additionally, the iPad Pro can act as a power bank and charge your iPhone using a USB Type-C to Lighting cable.
There is a 12-megapixel rear camera sensor with improved True Tone LED flash and support for 4K video recording at 60fps on the new iPad Pro. The premium tablet claims to offer the same 10-hour battery life and comes with a bundled 18W power adapter. As for audio, the new iPad Pro models come with a four speaker setup that houses two woofers and two tweeters offering wider stereo sound.
